In Germany logistics is the biggest economic sector after the automotive industry and trade. Around 223 billion Euros in sales (Prognosis) have been made in 2012 across the sector. Logistic is even ranked before electronics and mechanical engineering and at over 2.8 million employees the sector’s employee figures are three times as high.
